What to Expect

1

Consultation

We offer a complimentary consultation with the therapist or coach of your choice. This is our version of an ice-breaker to help reduce any anxieties you may have about this process. During this 15-minute conversation, we will share a bit about what to expect moving forward. We encourage you to ask any question you may have as well as tell us what brings you to Flourish.

2

Documentation

After the consultation, you will receive an email with a link to our online portal where you will be able to access and complete the necessary documents, after which your therapist or coach will contact you to confirm your first session.

3

Starting the Journey

During your initial therapy session, your therapist or coach will review informed consent and privacy considerations, ensuring a comfortable space to discuss your needs. They will inquire about what you would like them to know, explore what has been effective for you in the past, and invite you to share your personal journey.

“Therapy is like co-authoring a story—embarking on a great journey, overcoming obstacles, noticing the softer moments, and forging a path toward hope. It's an honor to witness my clients' growth, as authenticity and well-being positively shape their world and narratives.”

— ANNA PRATHER, FLOURISH CO-FOUNDER

What therapeutic modalities does your team use?

Our therapy team utilizes a diverse range of evidence-based modalities to provide comprehensive care. These modalities include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which focuses on enhancing emotional connection in relationships. We also incorporate Polyvagal Theory to understand the body's stress response and promote regulation.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is another modality used to explore and heal internal conflicts. Ecological mapping helps us understand the impact of one’s social location on their sense of well-being. Narrative Therapy helps individuals reframe their stories and reclaim their agency.

Furthermore, our team is skilled in trauma-informed sex therapy models, which recognize the impact of trauma on sexual health and relationships. By integrating these modalities, we ensure a wholistic and personalized approach to meet your unique therapeutic needs.
